Unfortunately, some blockages cannot be resolved by less disruptive measures such as rodding or jetting and leaks may be caused by pipework collapsing or deteriorating and these require excavation works.

This is a much larger scale job and one that small plumbing firms are often not able to provide.

How do you know that drain excavation is necessary?

Clearly, the nature of drains and underground pipes is that you can’t see where the problem is or the scale of the issue. Correlator technology, that sends a camera into the pipes to identify the nature of the issue, is the best way forward and from that, a diagnosis can be made.
