The covid pandemic has decimated many industries in 2020 and unemployment has risen to 4.8% from 3.5% in February of this year as many businesses have had to make cutbacks or even close their doors permanently.
The plumbing and heating industry has not been as badly affected as some, because people still need their boilers fixing and leaks repairing, but it has been hit nonetheless and we do know that even some large, national firms, including British Gas, have had to make redundancies.
If you a heating engineer and this has happened to you, then we want to hear from you. We’re particularly keen to hear from ex-British Gas engineers. We’re bucking the trend here at Plumbcare.com and we’re currently recruiting multiple engineers to help us manage the significant uplift of work we always get over the winter. Please note though that these are permanent positions, not seasonal ones, we want you to stay and progress your career with us.
We cover across the M62 corridor and right down to Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire, so we need engineers in a range of locations, including Leeds, Derby, York, Manchester, Nottingham, and Sheffield.
While we really want to help people who have found themselves unexpectedly on the job market, we have multiple roles to fill so even if you’re not out of work but just looking for a new challenge then we want to hear from you too.
The stability of any new employer is always a concern for people and never more so than now. Be assured that we are in a very strong position to continue to thrive as a business. Working for some of the UK’s leading insurance providers, we fulfil their home emergency and boiler cover contracts. This means we’re dealing with reactive and emergency jobs as well as general maintenance, so the work is both plentiful and varied. We also work directly with private customers on a range of plumbing and heating jobs.
You can see a range of positions that we are currently recruiting for on Indeed, or why not just get in touch for an informal chat? You can call our operations manager, Tom Scott, on 0333 577 0151 for more information or email [email protected]
We’re a really friendly team and look forward to welcoming new people to our business.
